Mosedale is so much fun because there are a variety of different things.

Whether that is sitting in the sun or jumping off rocks and going down the rapids, there is all sorts of great fun for friends and family!

Even though the water is nice on a hot day, I still highly recommend taking a wetsuit if you have one. It is an exciting experience for everyone, and best of all...it’s FREE.

So get down there on a nice day, take a picnic, a book, and make some memories. It’s just the best place to go on a hot day!

Mosedale is about a twenty minute drive from Kestrel Lodge. There is a rough and narrow road on the way to a parking area, but it is a truly lovely area of the Northern Lake District. Especially for families staying locally and wanting a FREE way to entertain the kids on a sunny day.
